10 Major Video Game Mistakes Of The 2010s The Next Gen Must Learn From

4. Lack Of Local Multiplayer

With online gaming becoming commonplace during the Xbox360 and PS3 generation, sadly we've seen a huge decline in local multiplayer in games. It makes sense, most people would rather play from home together than have to travel to each others houses. But after a few years of online gaming, there's demand for couch co-op to return.

Nothing quite matches sitting down next to your friend and playing a game together in person. Co-op story games are quite hard to come by these days anyway, often being tacked on to a game rather than properly incorporated.

Maybe not now due to the ongoing situation, but it would be nice if the next generation of video games could bring back local co-op.

We've started to see this slowly return, with co-op releases such as Cuphead and No Way Out, so hopefully it's only a matter of time until more developers follow suit. You can always have local co-op and online co-op, so there doesn't seem much reason not to add the beloved feature!
