3. Re-Releasing The Same Games Over And Over
One of the most annoying announcements to see is one that is simply a game re-releasing. I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but in practice this is okay. There is nothing wrong with the occasional re-master if it is warranted and it's been a while since the game released. This does not apply to games such as Grand Theft Auto V and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
It's become a joke amongst gamers that Skyrim has released on pretty much everything - which is true. Bethesda themselves have even poked fun at the fact, but just because they're self-aware doesn't mean that they're forgiven. It's really annoying. Fans are eager to get their hands on the next Elder Scrolls game, not the same one they already own.
Constantly re-releasing it has just made fans of the game realise the game is actually quite dated in presentation and gameplay, so Bethesda have only played themselves!
Then you have Rockstar, who first released Grand Theft Auto V on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Then the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. And now they've announced GTA V will be on the PS5! They framed it as a great announcement, but most fans are just impressed that Rockstar are being greedy enough to sell the same game three times in order to keep GTA Online ticking over for however many more years.
