10 Major Video Game Sequels Coming In 2021

7. Hitman 3

IO Interactive

In 2016, the Hitman series re-launched with an episodic adventure that charged the players as Agent 47 with assassinating people all over the globe. It was a big hit that spawned a sequel in 2018, offering players more levels and continuing the gripping plot. With Hitman 3, IO Interactive will end the latest trilogy in explosive fashion.

Like its predecessors, Hitman 3 is a game played in the third-person and players take on the role of Agent 47 again. During the game, 47 will fly to separate places and carry out contractual killings, similar to the two previous games.

The base game has six additional venues: Dubai, Dartmoor, Berlin, Chongqing, Mendoza, and the Carpathian Mountains in Romania as an epilogue. Hitman 1 and 2 players will be able to import maps, levels and progresses to Hitman 3.

The game is also compatible with PlayStation VR on PlayStation 4 and with backward compatibility support for PlayStation 5. In contrast to Hitman 2, there will be no multiplayer mode, with a single-player Sniper Assassin mode and complete removal of ghost mode.

Expected to be released on January 20, 2021, Hitman 3 will be the first big release of the year, and if it shows the consistency we're hoping, then we're in for a stellar year.
