10 Marvel Heroes For The New Mystery Game
4. Daredevil
Daredevil is one of Marvel's most iconic characters. He may not get the exposure that Spider-Man does, and he's not a globe-trotting hero, per se. He stays in Hell's Kitchen for the most part, which - honestly - could work in a game's favour. Why go bigger than you need to? Come into this game with a fully realised, grimy, gritty Hell's Kitchen that's rife with corruption and sitting on the precipice of all-out gang warfare, and you've already got a solid hook.
His villains are iconic. Kingpin is one of Marvel's all-time greatest villains. Add to that Bullseye, the Hand, Elektra, and the Punisher (the latter two being on-again, off-again allies), and you've got the makings of great interpersonal conflict. Other friendly faces are Foggy Nelson, Karen Page, Ben Urich, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage. There's a great cast already built into this game.
His fighting style is very up-close and personal. It's incredibly visceral and aggressive. Uncharted 4 had the best hand-to-hand combat mechanics in the series, and there's plenty of room for Daredevil to refine and expand upon them. We could be looking at a dark, noir-tinged, street-level crime drama starring Daredevil, and WHY ISN'T THIS A THING YET?
