10 Massive E3 2016 Rumours You're Not Supposed To Know
9. Visceral Will Debut The New Han Solo Game
Remember Star Wars 1313, the absolutely stunning, rumoured-to-star-a-younger-Boba Fett shooter that debuted back in 2012?
It looked to be very much in the third-person cover-shooter mould, but when that's a genre yet to produce a landmark Star Wars game, it whipped up quite the amount of fan anticipation in the process. Sadly, the project was cancelled and put on indefinite hold when LucasArts went belly up, and although it doesn't appear as though 1313 is making a comeback, we're most likely getting something even better.
Now, we've dove into all the details available in greater detail here, but sufficed to say, EA have appointed developer Visceral to create a new game using the Star Wars license - one that would be overseen by ex-Uncharted script-whiz Amy Hennig. To that end, Nathan Drake voice actor Nolan North mentioned at Metrocon 2015 that "If you're a big fan of Amy Hennig and her styles of story: the big thing about her is that she's gone to EA and is going to reboot a brand new Star Wars franchise in the style of Uncharted."
North also mentioned that this was not the revival of 1313, but that it would be "along the same lines", which if you pair it with the various cryptic Han Solo-related tweets Visceral were putting out (that have since been deleted) and factor in the existence of a Han Solo spin-off film - makes perfect sense.
