10 Massively Underrated Video Games Based On Movies
3. Batman Begins
Swooping onto consoles with little fanfare or forewarning, Batman Begins is a stalk and smash experience that needs to be experienced. Developers Eurocom, alongside EA, have replicated the fog and murk of Christopher Nolan’s franchise kick-starter to expert effect, making it more fun than it really should be to swoop and stalk around as the caped crusader.
The game follows a linear path where you have to guide bats across Gotham, thwarting the deeds of Carmine Falcone, The Scarecrow and Ra's al Ghul. Gameplay wise, Begins takes all the best things from stealth adventures past and present, meaning you have to really use your surroundings to take out foes; better still, you can scare them senseless with some of your wonderful toys, by way of a unique fear system. Or, for the more bullish of gamers, there are some crunching martial arts moves at your disposal. It’s this mix of immersive graphics and varied action that make the game such a gloomy treat.
Arguably, if it were not for the success of this game, the Arkham series would never have been able to take flight.
