Even at the best of times, the Paper Mario series is no walk in the park. There's a lot to learn, and not a whole lot of room for error, so you'd better hope you use your turns wisely and don't... fold under the pressure. Get it? Anyway...

Without a doubt one of the most fearsome bosses in Paper Mario: The Origami King (if not the entire series) is the pair of scissors encountered in Bowser's Castle. In any other setting, you'd probably scoff at a boss like this, but if you're familiar with Rock, Paper, Scissors, you should be well aware that the odds are not in your favour here.

The boss fight starts with Scissors' blades sheathed so as to, in his own words, "give Mario a chance." It's not long before the protector comes off, however, and the danger you face is now literally make-or-break.

One touch of those blades will slice Mario in half instantly, forcing you to restart from your last checkpoint.

The tactic to winning, then, is to avoid the metal parts of Scissors at all costs, because any amount of contact will leave your papery self considerably lighter.
