10 Mind-Blowing Mods That Turn Fallout 3 Into Fallout 4

6. Make Dogmeat More Useful

Download Dread Dogmeat The Fallout series is very much one in which characters come and go, usually meeting their end by gun or radiation, or simply disappearing off into the wasteland never to be seen again. That's why it's great to see Dogmeat, the trusty German Shepherd from Fallout 1, 2 and 3, make a return in Fallout 4 - with better AI, and more commands that you can issue to him. But the Dread Dogmeat mod for Fallout 3 gives the latest rendition of the trusty canine a run for his money. With this mod, Dogmeat is stronger, more responsive, better at selecting who to attack and when, and answers to a whole slew of new commands. For example, you can order him to search for weapons, armour and ammo all at the same time, and he now randomly fetches items when you're wandering the Wasteland (his success depends on your Luck level). He can also pick up new special items that you'd otherwise not be able to find in the game.
