6. Dawnmaster's Crest - Baldur's Gate 3
The Dawnmaster’s Crest is a small emblem found in the Mountain Pass section of Baldur’s Gate 3.
To get it, you have to solve a series of puzzles inside the ruined monastery, and although its size and apparent lack of uses make it seem like an underwhelming prize for all the effort you have to put into acquiring it, it is secretly one of the most important items you will find in this location.
The Crest is a secret key to obtaining the legendary mace called the Blood of Lathander… safely.
Although you can find and grab the weapon without the crest, doing so will trigger a safety mechanism that will detonate the entire monastery, possibly wiping out your entire team if they don’t make it outside in time.
On the other hand, if you find the crest and insert it into the contraption holding the Blood of Lathander, you will be able to deactivate it, allowing you to leave the monastery in one piece.
