10 Missable Video Game Items That Cost You 100%
1. Limit Octet - Tales Of Vesperia
One gameplay element of modern day classic JRPG Tales of Vesperia is the Over Limit: a bar divided into quarters that fills during battle and allows players to make the character that activates it more powerful in numerous different ways.
Therefore the Limit Octet, which doubles the size of this bar, seems like a handsome prize that most players can stand to benefit from.
To get it players must visit Yormgen in the post-game, talk to a specific sage and fly south to enter the Labyrinth of Memories. This optional dungeon is one of Vesperia's toughest and asks the player to gather 15 fake gald from random boss drops and chests. This will entitle them to face the Traitor to Heaven, who is actually Kratos from Tales of Symphonia.
From there, this unlocks the 200 Man Melee and, once beaten, this grants access to Tag Tournament - Savage which will give exhausted players the Limit Octet.
Vesperia has a nasty habit of keeping some of its most interesting content way, way off the path but what makes this entirely more frustrating is that past a certain point it’s possible to lose access to the Layrinth of Memories and its super-powered trinket all together.
If you don’t visit the rift at Pharoah’s Crag at a certain point in the story, you won’t be able to suffer through this arduous checklist even if you wanted to.
