10 (More) Forgotten Video Game Franchises That Need To Make A Comeback

5. Stuntman

Stuntman Get behind the wheel in a series of missions that will see you chaining together stunts in order to produce the best possible car chase scenes you can imagine. At the start of the new millennium there were frankly too many racing games flooding the market. Stuntman distinguished itself by letting you drive as the (you guessed it) stuntman in various films; instead of racing, you had to steer through a variety of checkpoints, with extra points being awarded for near misses, wheelies, air time and so on. It€™s an innovative system with a lot of potential €“ instead of worlds, the game is divided into various films, and as the reward for completing each one you unlock the film€™s trailer which intersperses CGI scenes with replays of your actual driving. Two games were made, and film styles covered included British Gangster Movie, Disaster Movie, Dukes of Hazzard, Indiana Jones, Spy Movie, Asian Crime Thriller, Bond Films and Batman. The second game went over-the-top with the action, so much so that it was hard to follow what was happening on screen, and game reviews suffered accordingly. A third game was never made, but with today€™s technology it could be great.
