10 (More) Forgotten Video Game Franchises That Need To Make A Comeback

6. Zombies Ate My Neighbours

Zombies The original zombie game, long before Left 4 Dead, Dead Rising and even Resident Evil (which I also considered putting on this list, based on the fact that although it enjoys many sequels, they have less and less to do with what made the original two games so great). Zombies Ate My Neighbours is addictive, arcadey gameplay at its finest €“ using a variety of weapons you€™ll travel through malls, haunted castles and even pyramids, fighting a variety of enemies including (but not limited to) vampires, werewolves, aliens, and of course zombies. I didn€™t play this until recently, but I did own the even lesser known title Herc€™s Adventures €“ an almost identical game by the same team, with the same gameplay mechanics, parodying Greek mythology. Both games deserve a modern day reboot. Zombies Ate My Neighbours offers a crucial something that the horde of shambling, mindless zombie titles on the market today lack (for the most part) €“ it€™s fun, and it doesn't take itself too seriously. The two-player mode was a joy to play, and a modern day online mode would bring nostalgic tears to the eyes of many an old-school gamer.
