Star Wars has managed to fare well with its games, whether it's the 1983 arcade classic with the wireframe graphics or the Super Star Wars series for the Super Nintendo. In 1998, Star Wars Trilogy Arcade was made to celebrate the release of the Special Editions.

The game recreates iconic moments such as the Death Star trench run from Episode IV, the Battle of Hoth from Episode V, and the Endor speeder chase from Episode VI. It also features boss battles against Boba Fett and Darth Vader where you could wield Luke Skywalker's lightsaber with a specially-designed joystick.

The title made sure that each key moment from the trilogy was represented with authenticity through its visuals and sound. It showed how far technology had come with the game's stellar 3D graphics and the use of Ben Burtt's iconic sound design.

Though previous titles employed stylized visuals to capture the world of Star Wars, Trilogy Arcade was one of the first times it truly felt like the movies. With the deluxe arcade cabinet that went along with it, the game captured the essence of the trilogy despite its short runtime.
