10 More Video Game Easter Eggs Nobody Understands

1. Gnomes Are Always Watching You - PowerWash Simulator

Gears of War 2
FuturLab

PowerWash Simulator is just about the last game you'd ever expect to be unsettling, yet it still managed it. This stems from the fact that every single one of the game's maps contains at least one strategically placed ornamental gnome.

Not so bad, right? Except, each is positioned to be creepily watching you while you go about completing your task.

Some are incredibly easy to spot, while others are fiendishly hidden around the environment - such as by distant trees - to give the impression that they're actually alive and surreptitiously watching to ensure you do a good job cleaning.

To date no players have found the gnomes moving around, but don't be shocked if a patch changes that at some point.

For now, rest easy that no matter how viscerally terrifying the little porcelain guys are every time they show up, they're confined to stillness.
