10 More Video Game Mistakes Left In To Troll You

3. An Unintended Ending - Fallout

Killian Fallout 1
Bethesda

In the first Fallout game, the adventure concludes with The Overseer exiling you into the Wasteland despite all your accomplishments across the game so far. Which seems kind of unfair, but maybe you’d just decide to accept your new life and go out into the wasteland.

Or, thanks to a bug, you could also spam the attack button before the Overseer gets away and put him down where he stands.

You weren’t actually supposed to be able to do this, but some gamers figured out it was possible. Upon noticing the unintended bug, developer Interplay Productions decided to leave the mistake in, concluding that if players wanted it enough they would not only allow players to kill the Overseer but include a unique death animation if they happened to do so.

It’s appropriately Fallout and gruesome but if you want to flout the intended narrative you’re free to do so.
