It's generally assumed that most Platinum trophies have extremely low completion rates due to the dedication required, and it tends to be franchises with intensely hardcore, committed fanbases like Persona which rack up the highest Platinum completions.
Yet the recently released Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is currently rocking a ludicrously impressive 18.1% Platinum rate, indicating that almost one-fifth of everyone who started the game committed hard enough to get every trophy.
That's higher than the completion rates for the PS5 versions of either the first Spider-Man (17.1%) or Spider-Man: Miles Morales (6.2%), and also places it far above all other major PS5 exclusives, such as Horizon Forbidden West (6.4%), God of War: Ragnarok (9.9%), and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (11.6%).
While it's hardly a secret that the Spider-Man Platinums are actually quite achievable, and Spider-Man 2's can be obtained within "only" 30-35 hours of play, this stat is nevertheless proof that players loved the gamefeel far above most other AAA titles - enough to complete the entire Platinum checklist.
