7. Your Mom - The Suicide of Rachel Foster

The Suicide of Rachel Foster starts out as a benign enough game.

You get a few text prompts that basically explain your father was a human piece of garbage, your mom was awesome, and now that they're both dead - you've inherited the old ski resort hotel you grew up in. A hotel you don't want.

You go up to the resort to get things in order for an eventual sale and while there you learn that things are not as they seem. Trapped by a snowstorm, your only respite is the goofy FEMA officer Irving as you slowly uncover clues that suggest you're not alone in the hotel. And that Rachel Foster might have faked her death or is haunting the hotel as a ghost. Rachel was a classmate of yours that everyone believes performed suicide at sixteen after your father impregnated her (causing your mother to leave him).

In the final stages you find out Irving is actually Rachel's younger brother who believes your father truly loved and understood his sister and that Rachel was murdered. After finding the last bit of evidence you realize that not only did you witness the murder and repress the memories, but that your mother was the murderer.

Oh and Rachel might actually be haunting the hotel and you are her new vessel for the rest of your life. If you don't kill yourself in the end.
