Introducing himself to players in GTA:IV, Brucie Kibbutz is an ally for Niko Bellic who offers a small mission set followed by optional activities afterward. Brucie is a fitness freak and self-appointed 'life coach' but also somehow manages to establish himself as a successful businessman through sheer drive and ambition. Brucie's insecurity and self-obsession are what force him onto this list of annoying characters. As a successful entrepreneur, Brucie should be comfortable and content with his life. The latent insecurities he has from being a "fat loser" as a child don't allow for this, however, and Brucie is obsessed with proving to anyone and everyone that he is "alpha". This image is regularly shattered, though, and players will see poor Brucie knocked down a peg or two on several occasions. Brucie is an example of the excellent character writing that Rockstar does; by all accounts he should be content with what he's made of himself. But living in Liberty City - a place obsessed by achieving success in excess - forces him to continually seek the approval of anyone who will listen. Brucie is a great character, and is at times very entertaining. But from the eyes of Niko, a person who has truly built himself up from nothing, Brucie must be a painfully annoying fool to encounter.
