It's difficult to choose just one breathtaking moment from Journey, which is a stunning experience from beginning to end. However, the game does save the best for last, which comes just after it seems like your character had perished after a gruelling climb up a blizzard-ravaged mountain.

Suddenly you are saved and transported to the peak of the mountain, where you ascend to the top like a spirit rising towards the heavens. This moment, accompanied by gorgeously stylized visuals and an amazing piece of music by Austin Wintory, is profound, inspiring and even a bit melancholic - all the more so if you fail to reconnect with your anonymous partner, if you had one.

It is the perfectly satisfying conclusion to a perfectly paced game that leaves you with an overwhelming feeling of mixed emotions. You'll wish you could play it again for the first time, if only to experience the poetry in motion that is Journey's ending, which sounds pretentious for sure, but no less an accurate description. It makes the entire journey worth it.
