3. Final Fantasy XII - Opening
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGd69sQKyGo I've tried to keep Final Fantasy out of here as much as possible really, because they don't really deserve points for cinematic moments anymore. When it comes to industry standards, you know Square Enix are always going to provide jaw-dropping and graphics and EA are always going to milk every series they get their hands onto until nothing remains but a battered and dry husk. That being said, I've put this game on here for one particular scene during the opening sequence. A horse-head shaped air cutter comes into view as the Dalmascan army sets off for Nalbina Fortress and seems to hover quite contently before suddenly exploding as we're suddenly transported to the battle at Nalbina. The entire battle and opening scene is beautifully put together earning this game a spot in the top three.
