Why It's Controversial

Though this 'cheev isn't lewd in any way, it's pretty offensive in its own right, as it actively encourages players to quit out of online multiplayer matches in FIFA 10 whenever they're losing.

Worse still, it's not even justified by the reward of some digital points, as the "achievement" is worth a whopping 0G.

Obviously it's not a good look for any video game trying to maintain a healthy player base with a strong sense of sportsmanship, and understandably, many fans were irritated that EA were literally incentivising players to quit when the chips are down.

While more considerate players could simply unlock the achievement with a friend, it's fair to assume that the majority instead inflicted their achievement hunting upon unsuspecting anonymous opponents. Boo.

Unsurprisingly, the widely criticised achievement hasn't re-appeared in any FIFA game since.
