10 Most Controversial Video Games Rated 'Adults Only' In America
4. Seduce Me
It can be hard to be banned from the game platform Steam. Even the offensive and awful "Hatred" was allowed to be distributed. Therefore, when "Seduce Me" was submitted to Steam's then-new "Greenlight" platform and one of the first games to be told, "No," based on its subject matter, that got some attention. It would indicate you have something the company behind Steam, Valve, clearly thought was controversial enough to keep off their game distribution platform, after all. The thing is, "Seduce Me," is actually a really boring game once you put aside the fact it has some super-explicit artwork as soon as the characters start shagging. Players basically just try and seduce various characters into having sex with them via a card game. Yes, a card game. You are literally engaging in a card battle where the reward is seeing a drawing of a woman eagerly giving a man oral sex, to give one example. Considering how a person could simply use Google to find drawings just like that for free, playing a card game for such a reward seems quite pointless. Really, the most controversial thing about "Seduce Me" isn't how it was kicked off of Steam, it is how it takes something as wild and exciting as sex, and reduces it to being as thrilling as playing a game of Old Maid.
