10 Most Cringeworthy E3 2015 Moments
9. Sony Pads Out Their Press Conference With Repeats
While Sony had one of their most popular E3 showing this year, being the exclusive home to the most tweeted about games of 2015's event, Shenmue III, the Final Fantasy VII remake and the re-reveal of The Last Guardian, the company's sparse line-up for the upcoming holiday season still posed to be a giant hurdle for the company. Unfortunately, their lack of games was this year was only exacerbated by the way they relied on showing us titles that have already been released.
Although Destiny is still an immensely popular shooter, with millions of people still playing Bungie's latest while devouring every expansion that gets released, it felt entirely lame that Sony spent so much time talking about the title's upcoming expansion. For reference, at around the same time during Microsoft's conference they were unveiling the Hololens. And while that is admittedly unproven tech, there's no denying that a futuristic showing makes for a more entertaining conference than spending five minutes to talk about 9 month old game.
But it wasn't just Destiny, with the focus equally on Arkham Knight (barely a week away from release at the time of the event) it felt incredibly obvious that Sony was trying to mask the fact that, unlike Microsoft, most of their high profile titles will be releasing well after 2015.
