10 Most Disappointing Video Games Of 2019 (So Far)

2. Team Sonic Racing

I know it might seem ridiculous to get excited about a new Sonic game in the year of our Lord 2019, but the Sonic kart racers - especially 2012's Sonic & All-Stars: Racing Transformed - have always been reliably good, acting as a great love letter to some of SEGA's greatest characters.

It helped that the actual racing was always solid as well, and while it was never at the level of complexity of Crash Team Racing, still provided enough depth to offer a genuine sense of competition between players.

Sadly, this year's Team Sonic Racing threw all of that out the window, cutting out the wider SEGA characters and instead focusing on the most mundane tracks, racers and cars.

It gets a few extra points by being cheaper than a proper full-priced title, but Team Sonic Racing should have built on the solid foundations before it, rather than regressing to a simplistic, basic formula.
