10 Most Disgusting Creatures In Fallout History

5. Floater

Appearing in the original two Fallout games and going missing for a while until they resurfaced with a brand new look in Fallout 76, the Floater is, as its name suggests, a weird floating enemy with too many teeth, bulbous bits and other deformed things to be allowed to live.

In Fallout and Fallout 2, the original Floater design is very different to how it appears today. In those games, they resembled strange-looking worms which reared their heads up off the ground. Their 'head' was a giant hole of sorts filled with razor-sharp teeth.

In Fallout 76 they're completely different. These new Floater variations have a large, bulbous glowing coloured head, too many eyes, and their bodies appear to be covered in tumours before ending in a long, tail-like appendage that trails down below them as they float off the ground.

In the Art of Fallout 3, a render for a Lamprey Floater also exists, but was cut for unknown reasons.

The Floater was also considered for inclusion in Fallout New Vegas, and a named asset file for them exists. However it appears they didn't get very far with implementing this creature as its graphical asset it identical to the Centaur.
