2. No Peace Here - MGSV: Ground Zeroes
Considering her name means peace, there is absolutely nothing peaceful about the treatment of Paz in the Metal Gear Solid V prologue, Ground Zeroes.
Alright, she may have been raised by Cipher to infiltrate Big Boss' forces, only to steal Metal Gear ZEKE and be presumably killed at the end of Peace Walker. That's bad enough, right?
Sadly, no.
I'm not going to recount everything that happens to Paz at Camp Omega. Suffice to say, it's pretty grim, even for Metal Gear standards. So you'd think she'd have found a shred of her namesake when Snake rescues her from Skullface.
Certainly you wouldn't have expected the man with a skull for a face to have sewn a bomb into her stomach, which gets removed in no polite manner. It's not a small bomb, either. Crisis hopefully averted.
But wait! There's more!
It turns out there's not just the one, but a second bomb about her person! And I literally mean "about her person", and she's only wearing a pocketless jumpsuit. I won't draw you a picture.
It's not a pleasant death for the once angelic Paz. Not at all.
