10 Most Disturbing Clowns In Video Games

7. Kefka Palazzo (Final Fantasy Series)

Kefka - FFVI
Square Enix

The madness of Kefka Palazzo was first introduced to the world in 1994's Final Fantasy VI, where he served as the game's main antagonist.

He's since gained a reputation as one of the best villains in the series, going on to appear in other Final Fantasy games like Dissidia and Dissidia NT. But no matter where he rears his ugly face, that crazy clown personality remains intact.

Kefka was once an ordinary human, but everything changed when he was subjected to an experimental process that imbued him with magical powers. Sounds great so far, but there was a huge cost: namely, his mind was completely broken, and he was turned into a destructive psychopath.

Kefka has definitely got some of the Joker's thirst for chaos in him, and behind all the eccentricity, you get the impression that he's always a second or two away from committing a terrible act of violence.

All that said though, perhaps the creepiest thing about him is when he spanks his own ass while spouting a cheesy quip. We wish we were joking.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for over ten years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
