8. Pennywise (Resident Evil 2 Remake)

If you're reading that entry heading going "what?!" don't worry - you didn't miss a hidden secret or anything.

Rather, the presence of Pennywise in 2019's Resident Evil 2 remake is the result of a fan mod that reskins Mr. X, transforming him into the demonic clown who was made famous by Stephen King's novel, It - and later, its subsequent screen adaptations.

Creepy circus music has also been added to heighten the chills, and the overall effect is undeniably disturbing.

This version of Pennywise looks exactly like the one portrayed by Bill Skarsgård in the 2017 and 2019 movies, only with a murderous grin permanently etched on his pasty white face. Like Mr. X, he'll relentlessly stalk you down corridors and through rooms, with one clear goal in mind: to kill you in a brutal fashion.

An insane, bloodthirsty clown who basically cannot be stopped? Nightmare fuel at its finest.
