10 Most Disturbing Clowns In Video Games

4. Adam The Clown (Dead Rising)

There are many ways to make clowns creepier than they already are. One way is to add zombies - as we've already discussed - but another is to add chainsaws.

Mix those two elements together and sprinkle on a hefty dose of insanity, and you've got Dead Rising's Adam MacIntyre - also known as Adam The Clown.

Formerly a regular, cheery clown at the Parkview Mall, Adam was driven mad when the zombie apocalypse hit and everyone around him started getting eaten. By the time you encounter him in the game, he's developed a creepy laugh, has an affinity for chainsaws (which he can also juggle - because reasons), and, annoyingly, he's intent on slicing you to pieces like you're nothing more than a hunk of meat.

Your next move is to beat the living daylights out of him and send him to the great big circus in the sky, which leads to a horrific death scene in which Adam belly-flops onto both his chainsaws, causing blood to spew everywhere.

A disturbing death to match an equally disturbing life. At least, the part of his life where he was a chainsaw-wielding maniac.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for over ten years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
