Playing as a young boy named Sparrow, Fable 2 has you and your older sister, Rose, always dreaming of living in a castle. When offered a magical box for just five gold coins, the two young urchins become fascinated by the promise of something that may change their lives for the better.

They wish upon the box that they may live in Castle Fairfax, which oversees their small town, and sure enough, that night a guard comes to escort the siblings to see the ruler of the castle, Lucien. Not all is as it seems, however.

Lucien accuses one of either your or Rose of being a fourth 'Hero' from a prophecy of three, killing your sister and almost killing you as well. You are rescued by Theresa, and a decade later, you embark on your mission to stop Lucien before he can rebuild the Tattered Spire and gain unworldly power.

You and the other three heroes are successful in your mission, and with Lucien dead, Theresa offers you three choices. You can either resurrect the thousands of slaves Lucien used to reconstruct the Tattered Spire, resurrect your family (including your sister, dog and wife if you married) or receive one million coins.

Thousands of innocent lives? Nah. Your loved ones? Forget about them.
