10 Most Iconic Gaming Cheat Codes Ever

1. The Konami Code

Even the biggest gaming noobs know the Konami code, in practice if not in theory. It's the cheat code to begin and end all cheat codes. It goes like this: †‘†‘†“†“††’††’BA Konami games have used this code since Gradius for NES back in the mid 1980s. In its first iteration, it activated most of the game's power-ups. The same code is now widely present in games by Konami and many other manufacturers, having become an entrenched part of gaming history and culture. The code is more of an easter egg nowadays, and doesn't often do much. In a complicated Assassins Creed III manoeuvre, for example, the code will reveal the 'Turkey Assassin'. In Playstation favourite Little Big Planet 2, the Konami code entered at the right time will cause an arcade to explode. Other modern games in which the Konami code feature include Scott Pilgrim, BioShock Infinite and Resident Evil 2.
