10 Most Iconic GTA: Vice City Missions

8. Phnom Penh ‘86 – Ricardo Diaz

Vice City was the first title in the Grand Theft Auto series that saw helicopters play a huge role in the game. The Dodo plane made an appearance in GTA 3, but Vice City moved things to a different level making it much easier to get across the map at pace.

Phnom Penh 86 had all the various different elements of a great Vice City mission as your time working for Ricardo Diaz ramps up. You start off in a chopper with Tommy taking control of the gun while Lance is flying.

While airborne you come across plenty of enemies to take down with lots of explosions along the way. You finish getting dropped off at the foot of the building working your way through it picking off enemies before being picked up on the roof.

There were several helicopter based missions in Vice City, but despite not driving in it, this was the best. This is the first mission you take on in the air and it gives you a brilliant view across the whole of Vice City and the sheer size of the game.
