9. Shao Kahn's Mallet
Shao Kahn is the most recurring villain in the Mortal Kombat franchise and so, is often perceived as the big bad of the series. Because he is such an imposing figure, it seems pretty fitting that he is armed with a monstrous weapon in kombat - a mallet.
His Wrath Hammer may be too large for a mere human to wield to but Shao Kahn swings the almighty tool with ease. When you see how effortlessly the malevolent monarch annihilates his rivals in the intro of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, you can understand how destructive a sledgehammer can be if hurled by the right person.
Although the average kombatant needs to pull off a particularly tricky combo to launch their opponent upward, Kahn can have them flying through the air with a single blow from his trusty weapon.
He is one of the few kombatants that doesn't focus on combos. Do you know why? Because he doesn't have to. After smashing the hammer into his opponent's noggin a couple of times, it's safe to assume they won't be getting up any time soon.
