10 Most Iconic Mortal Kombat Weapons

8. Erron Black's Pistols

Because most kombatants use weapons from medieval or feudal times, it feels like a pistol-toting fighter wouldn't work in the Mortal Kombat universe. (It's the main reason why a lot of people took chagrin with Stryker.)

That's why introducing the revolver-wielding outlaw, Erron Black, in Mortal Kombat X sounded like a really bad idea. Thankfully, Erron quickly became a fan-favourite and was brought back for MK11.

So, why does Erron work so well? Well, he uses old-fashioned guns that only carry six bullets, stopping him from becoming an overpowered character. Although he perform crippling damage when he fires his shotgun, it takes a while to reloaded it, forcing the player to strategise when and how to use it.

Also, when he performs his Fatal Blow, he shoots a bullet that literally has his opponent's name on it, which is one of the coolest attacks in the series. (It's extra funny when he fights himself or the Predator since the bullet is labelled "Me" and "Ugly Mofo" respectively.)

Even though there are other gunslingers in the games including Cassie, Robocop, Terminator, and the Joker, Erron attacks are definitely the most diverse and entertaining.
