The year is 1994. You are standing at an arcade machine for Super Street Fighter II Turbo. You have defeated everyone on the roster, and then the three boss characters, just like before, and you even got a few perfect along the way. Your nemesis, M. Bison, is back and this time you are ready for his Psycho Crusher... but then, with a flash of darkness, M. Bison is gone - defeated - and standing before you is Akuma. This is the Raging Demon.

First useable by the player in Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors' Dreams, the ‘Shun Goku Satsu’ or Raging Demon is Akuma’s deadliest attack. It uses the full force of the ‘Satsui no Hado’ (‘Surge of Murderous Intent’). It's so powerful and deadly to the opponent that most games do not even show the actual attack, with the screen often fading to black or white to conceal it, the resulting devastation to the opponent seen when the screen returns.

Generally, this attack is a special move that uses all of Akuma’s meter, dealing considerable damage to the opponent. In most matches, landing the Raging Demon usually seals your opponent’s fate, resulting in victory for Akuma. While the Hadouken attack is undoubtedly the most recognisable Street Fighter special move, nothing can beat the satisfaction of utterly destroying your opponent by landing the Raging Demon.
