How do you make a gun even more violent? It's hardly one of the more important questions in life but Epic Games answered it anyway by attaching a chainsaw to the front of an assault rifle and calling it a Lancer. It's an amazingly bizarre idea but you know what, it works. It's fair to say that Gears Of War is a bloody series. Not in a Manhunt sense where it's twisted or sickening but the series isn't afraid of showing a bit of gore. The Lancer is the perfect weapon for the series then; when you get tired of filling enemies full of holes, you can rev the chainsaw up and execute people in the most extreme manner possible. It's immensely satisfying... Unless saying that will get us put on a list somewhere. It looks pretty badass too, something that really counts for a lot when you're appealing to a video game audience. There's a variety of real-life replicas that can be acquired nowadays too; alas, they don't have working chainsaws though. It might not be everybody's weapon of choice (generally speaking, the Shotgun is the go-to weapon in most online battles) but there's no denying that no weapon better represents Gears Of War than the Lancer.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
