10 Most Incredible Vocal Tracks In Silent Hill History

8. Acceptance - Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

We're not done with Shattered Memories yet. One of the slowest and powerfully, sorrowful tracks Yamaoka has made, "Acceptance" is the (not-so-subtlely named) 20th track of the Shattered Memories' OST that can be heard throughout various points in the game, even during the opening credits.

In fact, if you score the right ending, it is possible to hear this song play during Cheryl Mason's diagnosis.

Containing elements of delusion, love, guilt and possibly other themes, they all factor into the theory that this is about Cheryl Mason slowly accepting the reality of her father's death.

"Deep in the night you think everything's right. Tell it to yourself . Say it's just a nightmare."

It's unconfirmed, but "Acceptance" also bears some strange similarities to the Music Box Puzzle song from Silent Hill 2.
