3. Artorias The Abysswalker
Entrance is everything.
First seen landing on a bloathead and driving his greatsword into it, it's clear from the off that Artorias is an extremely aggressive being, even by Dark Souls standards.
The player is in for an intense fight, this being the climax of the Artorias of the Abyss DLC. This knight, sans shield, is fond of wielding his greatsword around one-handed, leaping around the battle zone with abandon, stabbing and charging like a reckless animal. Make sure to dodge. Frequently.
Interestingly, by defeating Artorias, you're doing him a favour. The DLC is actually set in the past relative to the base game, after this servant of Lord Gwyn has been corrupted by the Abyss itself. His fate unknown, he was thought to have died with honour. Only the player knows that he fell to darkness.
Still, you'd think he'd be grateful for the assist. Not adamant to skewer you.
