7. Friend Request - GTA V

Since the series transitioned to 3D, Grand Theft Auto has long made it its mission to satirize and exaggerate modern popular culture, with GTA V taking it to even greater extremes. This is most apparent in the mission Friend Request, which makes a fool out of Silicon Valley and the self absorbed, narcissistic appeal of social media.

As Michael, you are tasked by Lester to infiltrate the offices of LifeInvader, an obvious riff on Facebook, and plant an explosive device in their new prototype. Mistaken for tech support by an employee, Michael is asked to remove some inappropriate content from a computer and install some anti-virus software. You then plant the explosive and leave, but not before witnessing the absurd office culture.

Once home, you tune into the press conference to see the prototype revealed, and when you call the phone, it promptly explodes and kills LifeInvader founder Jay Norris, live on TV. This isn't an action-packed mission, but it makes up for it by being entertaining all the way through. The exploding head at the end is brutally funny, and demonstrates how truly unhinged the character of Lester is.
