10 Most Modded Video Games Of All Time

5. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Other games may have dedicated modding collectives, but the modders for your average Bethesda game are the definition of a modding community.

The fact that over a decade and a higher quality sequel later, we are STILL getting fresh new mods for Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, is a testament to how dedicated a modding collective Bethesda has cultivated.

There's everything from the usual glitch patches like The Unofficial Oblivion Patch, which hunts down and fixes every glitch and bug that Bethesda didn't find, to game-spanning texture packs. Of course, there are also TONS of mods to remove the obnoxious bloom effect that so severely dates the game, and many brave attempts to fix the faces of all the characters, to varying degrees of success.

But like with any self-respecting Bethesda modding community, it goes far, FAR beyond that. There are new campaigns, new characters, new lands, and so much more to add hundreds of hours onto this already beefy as hell game.
