10 Most Overpowered RPG Weapons EVER

9. Experimental MIRV - Fallout 3

There are plenty of weapons from the Fallout series that deserve to be on this list and, yes, before you ask, they are all nukes or nuke-adjacent. We’ve sidelined Fallout 76’s nuclear bomb, though, to talk about the Experimental MIRV that first appeared in Fallout 3.

Like Drizzt’s twin scimitars, the Experimental MIRV appears in multiple Fallout games and it’s pretty much always a nightmare for those on the wrong end of it. Essentially we’re talking about a modified Fat Man that shoots eight mini nukes at once instead of just one mini nuke.

All of a sudden, Behemoths aren’t looking so tough. Pretty much anything in your path will instantly be zapped to smithereens.

Assuming you have ammo. Craft it in just the right way, with a crafting glitch if you’re so inclined, and some players found even the game's lighting engine just gave up as a result of the explosion force. The only downside being if you shoot this bad boy too high up in the air those tiny nukes might just come down and explode you. I think a reddit user put it best saying, “Any gun so powerful that it demands a quick save before firing has to be the winner.”

Pretty damn epic. And before I close out on Fallout here I just want to mention the recently passed River, who was the inspiration and likeness of Dogmeat. Truly the goodest of dogs. Alright, back to crazy weapons.
