10 Most Overrated Nintendo Switch Games

Sigh. To be fair, this game hasn't sold in droves like others on the list, nothing like Mario Odyssey or Breath of the Wild, but it did crack the top 40 and that's the point. There are hundreds of games that should be placed higher than this.

It just shows that folks will buy anything with the Pokémon name attached to it. At best it's a below average game with average graphics. If you've ever complained that the Pokémon gods are just phoning their games in, then this is why, because they can. Games that accumulate scores of 6/10 shouldn't be this popular.

Trouble is, you can see what they were trying to go for, a cute adventure puzzle game that suits the handheld format and would have fit in with the likes of Link's Awakening. If they'd pulled off the charming watercolour finish too, then it could have really made a name for itself.

Here's hoping the next few years will see Pokémon reach its true potential and become a franchise worthy of this current generation and beyond.
