10 Most Popular Tekken Characters
6. Marshall Law
First Appearance: Tekken
Marshal Law is the Tekken franchises homage to the legendary martial artist Bruce Lee, similarly to Fei Long from Street Fighter, Liu Kang from Mortal Kombat and Kim Dragon from World Heroes. He has appeared in all mainstream Tekken games except for Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament in which he was replaced by his son Forrest Law.
Law entered the first King of Iron Fist tournament with the dream of eventually opening his own Dojo. Despite being eliminated by the Chinese martial arts master Wang Jinrei, he would be able to realise his dream before the events of 1995’s Tekken 2. However, his dojo is attacked by newcomer Baek Doo San, prompting Law to enter the second King of Iron Fist Tournament to get his revenge. As well as this, Law opens his own restaurant next to his dojo. He also has a friendly rivalry with Paul Phoenix throughout the franchise.
Law is a very fast fighter, known for being able to get up in the opponents face with a variety of powerful kicks and throws. He is considered one of the easiest characters to use among the Tekken roster. This has made Law popular with fans due to his fast, aggressive and easy to learn gameplay.
