8. Large Club
If you've had enough of all the flashy spells or decorative blades you can find in Dark Souls, fight some barbarians down in Blighttown and you'll soon get your hands on the Large Club. Essentially a big tree branch repurposed as a foe-smashing mace weapon, this club is a force to be reckoned with.
You'd be forgiven for overlooking the Large Club, but pure strength builds will find it absolutely destroys foes in a matter of seconds. It also has a poison auxiliary effect, which will help you to bring down your enemies even quicker.
Special mention could also go to the Great Club here - it deals more damage overall and has a longer range, but lacks the poison effect that the large club brings to the table. Either is a solid choice, especially considering many players complain that they kill things too quickly with the Large Club to be able to poison anything, and the Large Club's move set is faster and brings with it a much more useful one-handed weak attack.
Pair the great club with some light armour for mobility, and you'll be smashing skulls in no time.
