10 Most Powerful Knockouts In Gaming History

3. Resident Evil 6 - Jake Vs. Ustenak

Resident Evil is a regular user of the final kill shot, but the use of hand-to-hand combat from the fourth to sixth entries stands out just as much. In a push towards action-focused gameplay, the many characters you play as boast a range of melee moves that incapacitate or defeat your foes outright.

Nowhere is this more pronounced than with the sixth entry. As ludicrous as Resident Evil 6 is, you can't deny the sheer entertainment value it can offer at times. Roundhouse kicking an entire group of enemies is oh-so-satisfying, but it comes to a head in the cutscenes.

Jake Mueller and Sherry Birkin's campaign is one of the most bombastic, with the son of Albert Wesker boasting his own super-powered hand-to-hand skills. Throughout their levels, they are chased by the Nemesis-like Ustenak and a final confrontation ensues in a furnace as Jake lands a knockout punch.

A close-up shot ensures the moment lands with all the impact as you finally take down this creature that's been hunting you for the entire campaign.

As awesome as this punch is, it's not quite the end of Ustanak, as Jake and Sherry both take hold of a magnum to deliver the final kill-shot, but this stands out as one of the most over-the-top moments in the series.
