10 Most Powerful Weapons In The Fallout Franchise

8. The Dragon - Fallout 76

While the world of Fallout is set in a more futuristic version of the 1950s and 1960s, there are still several references to past American history that can be found in the ruins of American cities. Things such as the Lincoln and Washington memorials, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the ideals of the American Revolution's Minutemen.

Surprisingly, one of the best historical artifacts can be found in West Virginia, and it is called The Dragon. The Dragon is basically an antique revolutionary era rifle with four barrels and works similarly to a shotgun. While that may sound uninteresting to anyone who would prefer a laser gun or chainsaw gloves, The Dragon is a must-have for any survivor that still plays Fallout 76. Really the one drawback is that the gun takes around 10 seconds to reload after every single shot, which in a gunfight feels much longer than it sounds and can lead to ten seconds of panic or death if one isn't careful.

There is a myriad of ways to get this gun thanks to Fallout 76's random loot drop system. It is discoverable on the bodies of enemies or found in specific locations sometimes, but it seems that the best version of The Dragon is the one available inside a SMART Machine at Watoga High School.

The chances for getting The Dragon in the SMART Machine are also randomised, but since the SMART Machine takes candy instead of traditional caps, it's a much cheaper option for a much better outcome. Either way once you have The Dragon, you will easily burn through your enemies with devastating fury, just as the founding fathers might or might not have intended.
