10 Most Powerful Weapons In The Fallout Franchise

2. The Deathclaw Gauntlet - Fallout 3

The inhospitable post-war nuclear wastelands of the Fallout franchise have birthed some truly disgusting and terrifyingly strong enemies for players to survive against. But from the simple rad roach to the towering terror of the Mirelurk Queen, there is no monster that can trigger a Fallout fan's flight or fight response quite like the classic Deathclaw.

The Deathclaw certainly lives up to its name, using its twelve-inch long claws and ferocious attitude to dominate the wastes, essentially becoming the dominant apex predator of the new world. So obviously when a puny human being is able to defeat one of these terrifying beasts, they want to take some souvenirs to show off to the rest of the humans.

For many survivors, the best trophy to take from a Deathclaw's corpse is its iconic claws. This thought process somehow led to the creation of the Deathclaw Gauntlet, one of the most powerful melee weapons in the Fallout franchise.

Crafting a Gauntlet does require finding the schematic first, which can be found in several locations in Fallout 3. These include Rivet City and the F. Scott Key Trail and Campground. The second part to gathering resources for making a Deathclaw Gauntlet is obviously killing a Deathclaw.

While a difficult build, the results speak loudly for themselves. Once the player gets their own Deathclaw Gauntlet, they can slice through armoured enemies with ease, and turn unarmoured foes into bloody chunks with just a few swings. The morbid-looking glove can even take down other Deathclaws with relative ease, making this a must-have for Vault Dwellers and Wasteland Raiders everywhere.
