10 Most Promising Nintendo Switch Exclusives Of 2018
10. Kirby: Star Allies
At this stage you know exactly what to expect from a Kirby game: Eating enemies, stealing their abilities, indulging in gorgeous, so-cute-it-hurts visuals and more charm in your face than an explosion at Pandora.
This basic (ish) set of game mechanics has become some of the most beloved, easy to pick up and enjoyable of all time. See that enemy? Be they flying, holding a sword, throwing bombs or anything in between? Just suck 'em up and you can use that power for the rest of the level. Simple.
For Kirby on Switch, we know very little other than Star Allies will be multiplayer, both through platforming levels and its very own Super Smash Bros. mode, cribbed initially from Kirby Triple Deluxe. The latter will take full advantage of the Switch's ace Joy-Con sharing functionality, potentially bringing the iconic SSB gameplay to Switch before Nintendo release the next full instalment.
Honestly though, this game's appeal begins and ends with three words: "Kirby on Switch."
