You can't have Kirby, a Legend of Zelda and Mario without Yoshi, and Mr T. Yoshisaur Munchakoopas (yes, really) is also heading to Switch this year.

Like Kirby: Star Allies, this will be cribbing certain features from beloved recent entries in its respective franchise - mainly, the ludicrously adorable "yarn aesthetic" from Yoshi's Wooly World. We saw it reprised in Yoshi & Poochy's Wooly World back in January last year, and although the Switch edition doesn't have a title yet, its handcraft-looking worlds are already very much the same, being a delight to take in.

Assumedly, Yoshi will play like he always has, too. The divisive (or loveable) double-tap rotary aiming mechanic that differentiated him in Super Mario World 2 can be seen in the latest trailer, though you have to hope Nintendo are adding far more to the loveable dino's repertoire than just more of the same.
