1. Tetris Effect

The granddaddy of "one more go" gaming has returned. It has kicked the door in, booted your Candy Crush's and Flappy Bird's out of the way and sat back on the throne that many have tried to usurp across the years.

Many of us will have discovered the Russian block battler in its 1989 Nintendo GameBoy iteration, and Effect is here to remind us of how good that was. Despite a few new gameplay additions, like the Zone mechanic that allows you take out more than 4 lines at once, the heart of Tetris remains the same.

Given the modern stylings of more recent offerings like Lumines and Rez, Tetris Effect is as much a visual treat as a gaming one. If you've also invested in PSVR (and can take a break from Beat Saber), Tetris can be enhanced for a truly mind-blowing visual treat.

The true epitome of "If it ain't broke" gaming, Tetris Effect is the pinnacle of replayable gaming that we all know and love.
